Perks are like skills by taking them a paratrooper gains new abilities or improves an existing one. An integral part of Crimsonland are perks. Each of the weapons has a certain reloading time, magazine capacity, rate of fire and impact on the player. Standard weapons are unlocked as you progress through the game (the Splitter gun on Hardcore difficulty), and can be obtained either at the beginning of the level (if it's provided by the developer) or by "knocking" the monster out by killing it. Crimsonland has 26 standard types of different weapons, as well as several secret ones. There is no story in the game: in Quest mode the aim is to destroy all monsters, in Survival or Typ'o'Shooter mode the aim is to destroy as many monsters as possible and in Rush mode the aim is to hold out as long as possible. The player in the role of a humanoid paratrooper destroys various monsters. It's challenging, fun, and gives you a huge amount of toys to play around with."- Touch Arcade review, score 4.5 out of 5"This is gore in the excessively ludicrous, tongue-in-cheek, late '90s sense.Crimsonland is an action game with RPG elements. Your screen will be filled with literally hundreds of monsters, and must blast them to bits or die trying! Complete sixty quests to unlock a massive array of awesome weapons and abilities, then unleash your arsenal in Survival modes with online leaderboards."An easy recommendation to anyone who enjoys shooters or action games in general. Thousands of aliens, mutant lizards, giant spiders and more are on the attack - can you survive the onslaught? Crimsonland is an intense and gratifying top-down dual stick shooter from the golden age of arcade action games.
